Sustainability Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Strategist to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our global sustainability strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy that aligns with our company's goals and objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with international standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor and analyze sustainability trends, regulations, and legislation applicable in the jurisdictions where we operate, ensuring compliance and staying ahead of regulatory requirements.
- Partner with internal teams to integrate sustainability practices into corporate policies, procedures, and activities.
- Develop and maintain a sustainability reporting framework that meets global standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Oversee and collaborate on sustainability training and awareness programs to embed a culture of sustainability within the organization.
- Act as a key spokesperson and representative of the company on sustainability issues, engaging with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry groups.
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field.
- Knowledge of ESG regulatory requirements and trends nationally and globally.
- Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, and SASB.
- Strong project management skills, with proven ability to plan, organize, and lead.
- Persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present to senior leadership internally and externally.
