Job Summary:
The Hospitality Associate will provide exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order and stock housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Distribute and store supplies and equipment in designated areas
- Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
- Transport patients and equipment within the hospital
- Deliver and set up patient meal trays
- Collect soiled trays and place them in meal carts
- Distribute patient nourishments
- Clean patient rooms, lounges, offices, and common areas
- Clean utility rooms, pantries, corridors, and nurses' stations
- Empty garbage and sanitize garbage containers
- Maintain floors through dry mopping, wet mopping, and buffing
- Strip and make unoccupied beds and stretchers
- Use chemicals and cleaning agents
- Maintain open and timely communication with team members and management staff
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education and/or equivalent in support services role
- Ability to communicate with patients and co-workers
- Ability to read and write and follow instructions
- Physical ability to complete job duties
- Ability to work all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Positive work and attendance record
