Health Care Aide

The Health Care Aide/Personal Support Worker is a vital member of our home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to provide various personal care services to meet the client's needs.
Responsibilities- Assistance with personal care, hygiene, and physical therapy
- Meal preparation and nutrition support
- Light housekeeping and maintenance of a safe and clean environment
- Accompanying clients on outings and social activities
- Shopping and errands assistance
- Medication administration and reminders
- Ambulation and transportation of clients
- Providing companionship and engaging in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Following care plans and activities of daily living
- Documentation and charting of client progress
- Flexibility to work various shift types and adapt to changing client needs
- Performing other services as indicated in care plans
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Personal Support Worker/Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
- TLR Course is an asset
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- Negative TB skin test, chest x-ray, and Drug Screen Test
- Valid Driver's License with the ability to travel around the territory
- Access to internet and mobile phone
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
