Job Summary:

The Support Worker will be responsible for providing assistance with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores. You will also be required to accompany clients to appointments and social outings, and provide emotional support and companionship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation and household chores
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Assist with behavior management programs and implement strategies to promote client independence
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Assist with evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
