About the Role

Metrolinx is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Management Specialist - Passenger Railways to join our team. As a key member of our commercial management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the planning and execution of our passenger railway initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial and contract analysis to inform commercial management decisions and support the development of strategic plans.
  • Support contract negotiations with external vendors and provide input on contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to progress projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit reports, memos, and other documentation to support commercial management activities.
  • Perform contract administration activities, including invoice management and payment coordination.
  • Contribute to the development and measurement of key performance indicators and other performance metrics.
  • Analyze administrative, operational, and project-related processes to identify areas for improvement and develop streamlined solutions.
Requirements
  • Completion of a degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, contract law, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex contractual agreements and teams, ideally in a public sector agency or large-scale infrastructure program.
  • Strong understanding of project management, contract law, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
