About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist to join our team at Impact Recruitment. As a Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and developing successful working relationships with clients and brokers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and place new business, renewals, and remarkets with insurance companies.
- Provide formal binding and renewal instructions to underwriters for agreed coverages.
- Issue binders of insurance pending receipt of policy and invoice.
- Evaluate marketing submissions and make recommendations for revisions.
- Record new business activity in monthly logs and update as required.
- Provide liability cards, applications, and commercial vehicle supplements.
- Order endorsements from insurers when clients or producers request changes to policies.
- Receive phone calls from clients and deal with queries, documenting correspondence and transactions in the system database.
- Assist with balancing portfolios, giving attention to market share, mix of business, and particular appetites of various insurers.
- Perform other projects and duties as needed and requested by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Commercial Lines.
- RIBO License is required.
- Existing knowledge of insurance products, industry regulations, and underwriting processes is an asset.
- Experience with insurance software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- This is a hybrid position; applicants must be able to work 3 days per week at our downtown office location.
