Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Labrador Rewinding Inc. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex electro-mechanical equipment, including electric motors, transformers, and switchgear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and test equipment to identify issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts and perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors
  • Perform on-site servicing and repair, including testing and repairing faulty wiring or components
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and instruct apprentices as needed
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in electrical or electromechanical equipment repair
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods
