Electrical Systems Technician

At C.O.R.E. Services, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, and wiring all electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits in our plant or assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test electrical systems to identify faults and defects
  • Repair and replace electrical components, including motors, generators, and control panels
  • Install and wire new electrical systems, including conduit and fittings
  • Work with various AC and DC motors, generators, and drives, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, and electric controls
  • Interpret drawings, diagrams, and work orders to select tools and materials required
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for faulty operation
  • Perform work on "hot" lines as required
  • Use CMMS system to track and manage electrical systems

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of electrical principles and codes, including wire specification and the properties of various materials
  • Experience with electrical testing instruments, pipe threading machines, soldering equipment, and other specialized tools
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
