As a Personal Care Aide (PCA) at our Village, your responsibilities will include:

Embracing our resident-centered social culture and delivering exceptional personal care to our residents. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams to assess residents' unique needs and advocate for their involvement in care decisions.

Personal Care Aides (PCA) at Schlegel Villages build strong relationships with residents, their families, and the Village team to provide holistic care that emphasizes quality of life and flexible living.

In your role, you will assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, meal assistance, and general hygiene. Additionally, you will offer companionship and engage residents in activities. You will be attentive to residents' well-being and promptly report any changes to the Registered Practical Nurse.

To excel as our new Personal Care Aide (PCA), you should:

  • Exhibit a compassionate and respectful demeanor towards residents, families, and team members
  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of providing senior care

Preferred Qualifications (training provided for successful candidates):

  • Hold a valid PSW Certificate of 600 hours or more, meeting the standards set by relevant educational authorities
  • Experience as a PSW, PCA, or equivalent based on international qualifications, with the ability to obtain necessary certifications if required.
