Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time Creative Visual Designer to contribute to the development of exceptional user experiences for our expanding portfolio of Home Services clients.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled designer passionate about the digital landscape, social media, and creating marketing collateral. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing design and marketing initiatives from initial concept through to final production for websites, online campaigns, and branding efforts.

The successful applicant will be a strategic design thinker with familiarity in various business models, particularly in the Home Services sector (including HVAC, plumbing, moving services, and general contracting). A self-motivated individual who thrives in collaborative environments with clients and our team of developers and copywriters is essential.

This position is available to all individuals residing in Canada.

As long as you can work part-time hours and are available for at least three hours daily during standard business hours (9 AM – 5 PM Eastern Time), you can work from any location within Canada.

Qualifications

Your educational background and experience include:

  • A degree or diploma in Graphic Design (preferably with RGD certification)
  • Over 5 years of experience in web design, digital marketing agencies, or related fields

In addition, you possess the following qualities:

  • A strong work ethic
  • A passion for design
  • An eye for selecting impactful images and illustrations
  • Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills
  • A talent for client relations

Your expertise encompasses:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Design and content creation for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Understanding of UX (user experience) strategies and their presentation to clients
  • Experience in designing promotional materials and special offers
  • Desirable: Understanding of the relationship between design and effective SEO (search engine optimization)
