Job Summary:

The CNC Machinist Operator will be responsible for cutting and shaping stone and other materials using computer-controlled machinery. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings to determine cutting specifications
  • Make adjustments to the CNC machine as needed to ensure accurate cuts
  • Operate the CNC machine and other equipment to cut and shape stone and other materials
  • Verify that cuts meet specifications and quality standards
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Inform the production supervisor of any issues or defects
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents
  • Verify the quality of the finished product through regular inspections

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as CNC machining or stone fabrication
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and measurements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software
  • Knowledge of the stone industry is an asset
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Good physical health
