About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Corky's Liquor Store. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our sales goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales floor staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet sales targets.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that customers receive a high level of service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Merchandising and Inventory
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and display of merchandise, ensuring that it is properly stocked and presented.
    • Monitor inventory levels, identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the store's budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled and that sales targets are met.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends and opportunities to improve sales.
  • Store Operations
    • Ensure that the store is clean, safe, and well-maintained, meeting all relevant health and safety standards.
    • Develop and implement procedures to improve store efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
