Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Description

Waste Connections of Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Ajax, ON. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of garbage trucks in a safe working order.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy duty equipment, including hydraulics and brake systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles meet provincial regulations and standards.
  • Work directly with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all vehicles are in good working condition.
Requirements:
  • 310T license (mandatory)
  • 3-4 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment tests
  • Commercial Driving License is an asset
