Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Waste Connections of Canada Inc. in Ajax, ON. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of garbage trucks in a safe working order, performing hydraulic, brake, and engine repairs, as well as preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Ensure all vehicles meet provincial regulations and WCC safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager to achieve team goals
Requirements:
  • 310T license (mandatory)
  • 3-4 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • Ability to pass pre-employment tests
  • Commercial Driving License is an asset
