About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering design projects according to required timeframes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the performance of mechanical engineers and review deliverables to ensure high-quality results.
- Facilitate the purchase of equipment by specifying requirements and assisting with procurement.
- Manage the man hour budget and review and approve mechanical capital cost estimates.
- Take on a mechanical lead role on major projects, including managing engineers and designers, organizing mechanical work, and managing project budget and schedule.
- Assist in the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts.
- Issue drawings and engineering deliverables for construction.
- Motivate engineers and other project team members towards superior performance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry.
- Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Good knowledge of CAD, 3D software, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
- Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel.
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and influence employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Well-developed written and oral skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
