About the Job:
As a Breakfast Cook at Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and presentation of meals for our guests. This includes preparing and serving breakfast buffets for up to 150 persons, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, and following all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve breakfast buffets with live stations in the dining room.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, including cleaning fridges and inventory on a regular basis.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and control all waste.
- Check fridge, inventory, and prep list daily.
- Prepare lunch for guests as needed.
- Assist with dinner prep of salad bar, leaf salads, oysters, and mussels as needed.
- Communicate all problems and suggestions to your supervisor.
- Be punctual for work shifts and maintain absolute professionalism when on shift, company property, and when in the presence of guests.
Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized culinary program preferred.
- Expert knowledge of all aspects of breakfast cookery.
- Expert level knife skills.
- High level multitasking.
- Food Safe Certification and WHMIS required.
- 2+ years' experience in a similar position.
- Ability to frequently bend and kneel, lift moderate weight, and work on feet for an extended period.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team.
Compensation:
$23 per hour, plus auto gratuities, season completion bonus $1 per hour.
