Job Summary

Lullaboo Aurora Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Education Assistant to join our team. As an Early Childhood Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Housekeeping and Cooking Duties: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and safe environment for children, and assist in meal preparation and serving.
  • Childcare and Education: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain daycare equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, and guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Meal Preparation and Room Setup: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observations and Reporting: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Hold a valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Medical Exams and Tests: Undergo regular medical exams and tuberculosis tests as required by the company.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Be able to perform repetitive tasks, have attention to detail, and be able to multitask.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, reliability, team player, honesty, and ability to multitask.
