Executive Director, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a visionary leader to drive the organization's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. As Executive Director, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of inclusivity, equity, and accessibility within VCH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an overarching EDI and Anti-Racism framework to advance equity-led initiatives
  • Lead innovative initiatives, develop educational curriculum, and address systemic barriers to promote equity and inclusion
  • Collaborate with VCH Indigenous Health to address systemic racism and disparities within healthcare
  • Advise on equity and human rights issues, promoting inclusive spaces for everyone
Requirements:
  • Masters' Degree in Indigenous Studies, Equity, Inclusion and Diversity, or a related discipline
  • 15 years of leadership experience in developing and implementing organizational strategic initiatives to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Strong understanding of anti-racism principles, health care disparities, and cultural competence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
