Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at George's Burgers & Subs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business improvement.
  • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
