Job Title: Secondary Culinary Arts Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Secondary Culinary Arts Teacher to join our team at Windermere Secondary School. As a member of our school community, you will be responsible for teaching Culinary Arts and managing the teaching cafeteria.

Job Summary:

This is a 1.0 FTE continuing position that requires experience in a commercial kitchen and certification in Food Safe Level 1. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with district food services and maintaining the safety and smooth operation of the commercial kitchen/teaching cafeteria.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Culinary Arts and manage the teaching cafeteria
  • Coordinate with district food services
  • Maintain the safety and smooth operation of the commercial kitchen/teaching cafeteria
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics and/or successful teaching experience in Home Economics-Culinary Arts
  • Membership in or eligible to become a member in the Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service
