Job Title: Secondary Culinary Arts Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Secondary Culinary Arts Educator to join our team at Windermere Secondary School. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching Culinary Arts and leading the teaching cafeteria program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Culinary Arts to secondary students, focusing on developing their culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Lead the teaching cafeteria program, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the commercial kitchen.
  • Collaborate with district food services to provide daily meal service for students.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the British Columbia curriculum and the Vancouver School Board's education plan.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Education or Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics and/or successful teaching experience in Home Economics-Culinary Arts.
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification.
  • Membership in or eligible to become a member in the Teacher Regulation Branch.
  • Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service.
