Nurse Practitioner

RhynoCare is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in the Quinte West area. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities- Deliver Excellent Patient Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care, within the scope of practice of an RPN.
- Assess and Plan Care: Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure Smooth Transitions: Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage Medications: Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Provide Comprehensive Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the residents.
- Education: Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Licensure: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Certifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, ability to deal with others in an effective, compassionate, and supportive manner.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes.
- Clearances: Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Clear Criminal Record check.
