About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Regional Manager to join our Corporate Communications Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans to engage internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to promote Vancouver Coastal Health's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create engaging content and messaging that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Develop and implement crisis communications plans to ensure timely and effective response to emerging issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on communications best practices and strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in communications and change leadership, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Past experience in organizational or corporate communications is a must, and experience with change management would be an asset.

Skills and Abilities

  • Superior writing, editing, and storytelling skills to create high-quality content.
  • Strong understanding of current trends in digital communications, including social media and community building.
  • Ability to engage in sound decision-making and take smart risks, balanced with judgment to know when and how to seek guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as an internal consultant to meet client needs.
