Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, the Winter Recreation and Culture Facilitator is tasked with welcoming patrons to the facility, managing financial transactions, overseeing equipment setup and usage, and ensuring a safe environment for on-ice activities. This role also involves participation in market programming and seasonal events, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties represent the core responsibilities of this position; they are not intended to encompass all tasks performed.

- Deliver exceptional customer service to every visitor.
- Greet guests as they arrive at the venue.
- Accurately handle cash transactions.
- Monitor and control public access to the ice.
- Assist in organizing on-ice events.
- Manage the use of equipment.
- Observe participant behavior and address any issues.
- Ensure the safe enjoyment of the ice by being present with skaters.
- Complete incident reports when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Success

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must possess personal skates and demonstrate proficiency in ice skating.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $ (rate) plus eligibility for OMERS pension.
