International Program Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an International Program Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for post-secondary students or recent graduates to gain valuable experience in an international ESL setting.

About the Role:

The International Program Assistant will assist in planning and supervising extra-curricular activities for international students enrolled in our winter, spring, fall, and summer programs. These activities may include day trips, cultural and recreational activities, sports, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and supervising extra-curricular activities for international students
  • Develop and implement engaging programs and activities for students
  • Provide support and guidance to students as needed
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure a positive and inclusive experience for all students

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary student or recent graduate in Education, Linguistics, TESL, Recreation, Physical Education, or other related fields
  • Leadership skills and ability to relate well with 10 to 15 year old students
  • Energetic and fun to be around, with artistic or athletic abilities
  • Prior camp experience, first aid training, and knowledge of a second language are assets

What We Offer:

  • Flexible hours after 1:30 p.m. (weekdays) and on Saturdays
  • Approximately 20 to 30 hours per week (during program dates)
  • Some full day and evening activities are part of the schedule
  • Temporary Part-time (casual) position with a rate of pay of $20.00/hour
