Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled French Translation Specialist to join our team. As a French Translation Specialist, you will be responsible for translating online and printed materials, proofreading and conducting quality control of translated copy, and accurately relaying style and tone to maintain the meaning of the original/source text.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translation and Quality Control
    • Translate online and printed materials from English to French.
    • Proofread and conduct quality control of translated copy to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Linguistic Expertise
    • Accurately relay style and tone to maintain the meaning of the original/source text.
    • Refer to reference sources as needed to ensure accuracy of translations.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Coordinate with translation vendors to ensure translation quality and facilitate the resolution of translation issues.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in translation (English to French) or in a related field.
  • Experience
    • 2+ years of experience with French translation.
    • Experience working with French translations for Quebec Province, Canada preferred.
  • Language Skills
    • Fluent in English and Canadian, Quebec Province French.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Familiarity with Canadian market and commercial terms.
    • Familiarity with CAT tools.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Well-organized and detail-oriented.
