Senior QS Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our successful Infrastructure team at Turner & Townsend Group in Toronto. As a key member of our Cost Assurance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting top clients and driving supply chain improvement and efficiency for major programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver successful Cost Assurance commissions and support clients in reviewing and scrutinizing actual incurred costs.
  • Develop and mentor junior staff, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
  • Support new revenue generation by identifying new opportunities and contributing to bids and business development.
  • Input into the development of the service line, providing expertise and guidance on best practices.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of backgrounds and skillsets, leading and aiding junior members to facilitate their development and growth.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject and holds an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent.
  • 8 years post-graduate experience in a relevant field, with a strong understanding of construction industry technical matters.
  • Knowledge of different procurement routes, disallowed cost areas, target price setting, and calculation of pain/gain amounts.
  • Experience in contract management, assessment of accuracy and entitlement to cost, change management, and forecast control.
  • Strong data analysis and report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages succinctly.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage with a multitude of stakeholders.
