About the Role

Eaton Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team in a day shift position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mount and wire components and sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure the safety of electrical systems by adhering to government regulations, building codes, and safety rules.
  • Perform cross-checks of electrical and mechanical components against bills of material.
  • Layout enclosures and sub-panels for assembly and cut-outs based on provided information.
  • Apply proper methods of connection to equipment being built.
  • Wire equipment with proper voltage levels, current levels, and industry-standard color codes.
  • Organize circuitry within panels for proper voltage level separation.
  • Escalate schematic concerns through proper channels.
  • Repair and modify errors detected by test and inspection.
  • Work to CSA and UL code standards.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the internal KANBAN process.
  • Use various electrical components, gauges, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair products.
  • Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
  • Follow standard layouts as required.
  • Perform pull tests on wire when completed.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of control wiring experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Currently reside within 80 KM of Milton, ON.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of material and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and Six Sigma Tools.
Position Criteria
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures in a manufacturing facility.
  • Able to accurately layout, mount, wire, and troubleshoot industrial power and control components.
  • Understand various methods of connection and apply proper methods to equipment being built.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced/changing environment.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Good PC skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Effective time management and project management skills.
