Position Overview:

The Maintenance Planner (MP) is accountable to the Senior Maintenance Planner. The primary duty of the Maintenance Planner is to manage all maintenance technical documentation, which includes data entry and the organization of all records and files. Additionally, the MP is responsible for developing and documenting the short-term maintenance schedule for both on-aircraft and off-aircraft maintenance activities.

Short-term maintenance refers to the required maintenance for specific aircraft serial numbers that are due within a three-month timeframe. This maintenance encompasses:

  • All components outlined in the Periodic Inspection Manual (PIM).
  • Any known unscheduled maintenance needs or deviations.
  • Compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Special Inspections.
  • Modifications, upgrades, and inspection program sampling for aircraft, engines, and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technical records and publications.
  • Ensure the completion and auditing of aircraft maintenance documentation within the electronic record-keeping system (ERKS).
  • Manage data entry and auditing for all Work Order-related information and documents.
  • Update and audit the aircraft Servicing Set and Log Set.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for all records and publications.
  • Keep the aircraft weighing and balance records current.
  • Update the Technical Data Repository (TDR) as necessary.
  • Generate scheduled and unscheduled reports, including maintenance planning guidance and daily work forecasts.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Site Manager.
  • Conduct Elementary and Servicing Tasks for the CH 149 as qualified.
  • Participate in maintenance, ferry, and deployed operations as required.
  • Work at various operational bases and support remote site operations, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights.
  • Utilize office equipment effectively.
  • Adapt to shift work as needed.
  • Deliver on-the-job training to colleagues, including ERKS training.
  • Engage in training for professional development and certification.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and ensuring cleanliness in hangar, shop, stores, and office areas.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in aircraft maintenance control is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning and documentation.
  • Familiarity with aircraft modification programs and compliance reporting procedures.
  • Understanding of Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) protocols.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, including maintenance manuals and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications and specialized software as needed.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license for operating company vehicles.
  • Must meet the requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
