Position Overview:

The Maintenance Planner (MP) is accountable to the Senior Maintenance Planner. The key duty of the Maintenance Planner involves managing all maintenance technical documentation, which includes data entry and maintaining comprehensive records and files. Additionally, the MP is responsible for formulating and documenting the short-term maintenance strategy for maintenance teams, encompassing both on-aircraft and off-aircraft tasks.

Short-term maintenance pertains to tasks required for specific aircraft serial numbers due within a three-month timeframe. This includes:

All components of the Periodic Inspection Manual (PIM). Any known unscheduled tasks or deviations. Compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Special Inspections, etc. Modifications, upgrades to aircraft, engines, and accessories, as well as sampling elements of inspection programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of all technical records and publications. Completion and verification of aircraft maintenance documentation for the Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS). Accurate data entry and auditing of all Work Order-related documents. Updating and auditing the aircraft Servicing Set and Log Set. Establishing and maintaining filing systems for all records and publications. Updating and maintaining the aircraft weighing and balance records. Managing and updating the Technical Data Repository (TDR). Generating scheduled and unscheduled reports, including maintenance planning guidance and forecasting for daily operations and PIM/Heavy Maintenance. Providing administrative assistance to the Site Manager. Executing Elementary and Servicing Tasks for the CH 149 as trained, qualified, and authorized. Traveling as necessary to support maintenance, ferry, and deployed operations. Deploying and working at various operational bases or remote sites as required. Utilizing office equipment efficiently. Working shifts as assigned. Offering on-the-job training to colleagues, including ERKS training. Participating in training for professional development and certification. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by removing debris from tasks performed. Ensuring cleanliness in hangar, shop, stores, and office areas. Adhering to company policies, procedures, and directives. Performing additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

A minimum of three years of experience in aircraft maintenance control is essential. In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning, documentation, and compliance. Comprehensive understanding of aircraft modification programs and documentation processes. Familiarity with Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) procedures. Knowledge of Quality Systems. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Operating Procedures. Proficiency in standard computer applications and specialized software as necessary. Possession of a valid driver's license for operating company vehicles and tow tractors. Must meet eligibility requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
