Job Summary:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Family Physician - Emergency Specialist to join our team at Heiltsuk Hospital. As a Family Physician - Emergency Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular clinic, emergency, and inpatient care to a primarily First Nations, Heiltsuk Nation community
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
- Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the unique needs of the community
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License - Full
- Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) certification
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Emergency experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
