Temporary Customer Engagement Specialist

Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Assist in the daily operations of the store, starting as early as 5am
- Perform inventory cycle counts, restock shelves, manage product returns, and handle incoming merchandise
- Implement merchandising standards to create an inviting and engaging store atmosphere
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment for our customers
- Enhance our customers' experiences by adding joy to their visits
- Utilize our products to narrate compelling stories
- Engage with customers actively on the sales floor
- Curate personalized product selections for each customer interaction
- Exemplify Indigo's High Performance Characteristics
- Stay informed about new products, promotions, and programs
- Contribute to a culture prioritizing health and safety for all
- Respond promptly to customer feedback
- Hold yourself and others accountable for performance
- Commit to personal development and provide constructive feedback to peers and leadership
- Share insights with leadership on enhancing employee and customer experiences
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in specialty retail or a similar environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn across various store functions
- A strong dedication to delivering exceptional employee and customer experiences
- The ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
- The capability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, using appropriate safety techniques
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Bilingualism (French/English) is required for positions in Québec; proficiency in other languages is an asset
