Position: Maintenance Supervisor at Komatsu Mining Corp.

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing, organizing, and guiding maintenance activities, which encompass Predictive, Preventative Maintenance, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives. This position entails the installation, disassembly, or relocation of machinery and heavy equipment in accordance with layout designs and schematics. Additionally, the Supervisor is responsible for managing building maintenance needs through direct involvement and coordination with subcontractor services to guarantee operational efficiency and high-quality workmanship in a safe, clean, and productive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and oversee maintenance strategies
  • Ensure contractor adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Maintain an equipment management log and upkeep records
  • Commission and validate new equipment
  • Assist in addressing compliance matters related to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and operational excellence
  • Oversee maintenance of facilities and grounds
  • Coordinate repair activities with maintenance staff and manufacturing engineers
  • Engage with external vendors for contracted maintenance services
  • Support 6S initiatives and operational excellence efforts
  • Adhere to safety policies and regulations
  • Identify and report unsafe work practices
  • Promote safety enhancements with Komatsu Mining Corp's products

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • College diploma in Millwright, Electrical, or Mechanical technician field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Millwright or Electrical trade
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Expertise in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar management systems
  • Capability to operate tools and equipment safely
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints and schematics
