We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing Automation Strategist to join our team at BlueLena. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing key account relationships, guiding publishers through the strategic development process, and identifying BlueLena solutions that drive sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of 15-25 clients (or 40-50 community news brands) from deal signing forward, developing the strategy playbook, overseeing the program implementation, and providing strategic guidance for their growth and reader revenue programs.
- Work hand-in-hand with clients, relying on BlueLena's external partners and internal support personnel to craft and execute action plans.
- Propose and direct the work of campaign launches, building automations, and optimizing engagement platforms to deliver results for our newsrooms.
- Develop, implement, and execute holistic audience strategies that accomplish goals and objectives established through BlueLena's five-stage publisher journey methodology.
- Become an expert on our product offerings, including tools for email acquisition, content access controls, data integration, and marketing automation processes.
- Communicate daily and directly with clients, becoming a resident expert on all aspects of our platforms, best practice approaches, and the broader trends across the media industry.
- Participate in the scoping, preparation of managed services agreements, and comprehensive program development through a consultative, solutions-based approach.
- Guide clients through projects, ensuring tasks are completed by all stakeholders in a timely manner, and communicating with BlueLena technology partners for resolution of technical issues.
- Advise clients on best practices with our marketing stack and relevant use cases.
- Assist clients with urgent needs and usher them toward solutions and favorable outcomes.
- Act as the first line of defense for triaging issues impacting client satisfaction and platform performance.
- Exceed client expectations on quality, timeliness of response, and overall customer experience.
- A creative, empathetic problem-solver with a good sense of a reader's news reading experience and the challenging environment of independent news publishing.
- Experience in a news organization, working in audience development, engagement, community management, analytics, or reader revenue.
- Knowledge of email marketing, social media, editorial/content strategy, news audience development, and/or user experience.
- A passion for supporting the independent news ecosystem and an ability to learn and tell us how you think you can make an impact with BlueLena.
