About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Boulangerie Chazal inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Supply Management: Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Dishwashing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Inventory Management: Keep records of the quantities of food used to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile and provide excellent customer service.
  • Food Preparation: Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to prepare for cooking.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with conventional ovens and food dispensers.
  • Security and Safety: Ability to pass a criminal record check.
  • Transportation and Travel: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Team player, ability to multitask, initiative, and positive attitude.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
Working Conditions

This is a temporary position requiring 40 hours of work per week.

The working language is English or French.
