Our Career Consulting division is looking for a Lead Compensation Strategist to provide expertise across our Canadian offices.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with clients globally to enhance their talent engagement strategies and improve business outcomes.
- Work closely with executives and HR leaders to develop effective compensation frameworks that align with organizational goals.
- Be part of a national team of skilled consultants specializing in employee rewards, communication, talent strategy, and pay equity.
- Engage with a diverse portfolio of clients, including large-scale Canadian and international organizations.
- Leverage Mercer's extensive global network to collaborate with industry experts and colleagues.

- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify industry-specific challenges and trends in compensation and rewards.
- Participate in pay equity initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in the design and implementation of job evaluation systems.
- Analyze client data to provide actionable insights for talent and rewards solutions.
- Prepare and present recommendations to senior leadership and boards.
- Benchmark executive compensation for publicly traded companies.
- Develop compensation structures for non-executive roles.
- Create detailed role profiles and career progression tools.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in Pay Equity.
- Background in management consulting, total rewards, finance, human resources, or accounting.
- Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in Excel.
- Ability to adapt to changing client needs and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A desire for continuous learning and skill development.
- Degrees in fields such as finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, human resources, or accounting are preferred.
