Our Career Consulting division is looking for a Lead Compensation Strategist to provide expertise across our Canadian offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients globally to enhance their talent engagement strategies and improve business outcomes.
  • Work closely with executives and HR leaders to develop effective compensation frameworks that align with organizational goals.
  • Be part of a national team of skilled consultants specializing in employee rewards, communication, talent strategy, and pay equity.
  • Engage with a diverse portfolio of clients, including large-scale Canadian and international organizations.
  • Leverage Mercer's extensive global network to collaborate with industry experts and colleagues.

Expectations:
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify industry-specific challenges and trends in compensation and rewards.
  • Participate in pay equity initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of job evaluation systems.
  • Analyze client data to provide actionable insights for talent and rewards solutions.
  • Prepare and present recommendations to senior leadership and boards.
  • Benchmark executive compensation for publicly traded companies.
  • Develop compensation structures for non-executive roles.
  • Create detailed role profiles and career progression tools.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in Pay Equity.
  • Background in management consulting, total rewards, finance, human resources, or accounting.
  • Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to changing client needs and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A desire for continuous learning and skill development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degrees in fields such as finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, human resources, or accounting are preferred.
