We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex Ryan Hall in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and direct resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff.
- Provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services, respecting the client's right to individualized planning of health services.
- Work with existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures.
- Administer and record prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice.
- Maintain the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
- Apply dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy.
- Assist with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Places high value on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
- Is registered with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body.
- Can work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts, inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Has valid CPR & First Aid Certification.
- Has a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
- Has previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment.
- Has a passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
