We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Worker to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our facility support services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all units as assigned, including patient rooms and public areas. This will involve tasks such as mopping, dusting, and vacuuming furniture, floors, and stairways, as well as buffing, scrubbing, and refinishing floors. You will also be responsible for moving and arranging furniture and changing curtains and drapes.
We are looking for someone who is committed to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Travel to other sites may be required, and access to a reliable vehicle is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for operating equipment such as Taski spray buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and shampooers. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
About YouWe are looking for someone who has:
- Grade 12 or equivalent work experience
- A commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Travel to other sites may be required. Access to a reliable vehicle is required
- Equipment operated includes Taski spray buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and shampooers
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours- Casual Relief
$20.02 Hourly
