Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Wimpy's Diner. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Order supplies and equipment, managing inventory and records to optimize kitchen operations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
