Baker's Assistant/2nd Cook (Night Shift) Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Baker's Assistant/2nd Cook (Night Shift) to join our team at the Gahcho Kue Mine site. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving all items required for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve all menu items according to client requirements
  • Assist the Baker in leading and directing the food service team
  • Train junior staff members on food preparation and service procedures
  • Ensure Food Safe practices are strictly adhered to at all times
  • Assist with cleaning duties and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in the Food Service Industry
  • Current WHMIS and Level 1 & 2 Food Safe Certificates
  • Ability to balance daily menu specials alongside existing set menu
  • Knowledge of safe and efficient operation of all equipment in the Food Service area
  • Ability to lead and direct other kitchen staff
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills and ability to work well with the public
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and as part of a team
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $51,500 - $61,500/year, medical benefits, and RSP matching. The point of pickup for this position is limited to the Northwest Territories, and candidates will need to be available to fly to and from a pick-up point location within the Northwest Territories. Associated travel fees to and from the Northwest Territories are NOT covered by Bouwa Whee Catering.
