Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Planning Lead to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clinical service delivery operational parameters and apply knowledge and research of industry references/standards to define and document space and infrastructure requirements.
  • Work with clinical operations leaders to ensure that models of care for clinical services and programs are well defined.
  • Develop and document space and infrastructure requirements, including research, interpretation, and application of facilities planning standards and requirements.
  • Provide leadership as a specialized resource on clinical facilities design.
  • Work in close collaboration with clinical and operations teams to identify program and service requirements.
  • Ensure the built environment includes corporate standards through participation of corporate subject matter experts in planning/design.
  • Identify and establish appropriate team structure(s) and membership for initiatives.
  • Lead clinical partners in the planning and design of facilities.
  • Conduct post-occupancy evaluation of the built environment to assess the impact on organizational objectives for clinical service delivery (operations) and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical health science discipline.
  • Seven years' recent related facility clinical planning experience in a large complex multi-site healthcare organization.
  • Two years' leadership experience in the facility clinical planning role of health care facilities or health care project management.
  • Professional Development Certification in planning and/or programming health care build environments.
