Ecological Restoration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecological Restoration Specialist to join our team at Woodlands North Inc. This is a full-time permanent position that focuses on ecological inventory, site assessments, and restorations. The successful candidate will strategically leverage ecological spatial field data to implement restoration plans for regulatory compliance at the landscape level.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct safe and efficient project work, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Manage project deliverables and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, management, and clients.
- Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist the Operations Manager with project scheduling and management.
- Experience in construction environmental oversight, road building, and culvert installations.
- Knowledge of timber, vegetation, wetlands, watercourses, wildlife, and soils data collection.
- Expertise in current restoration best management practices for terrestrial habitat restoration of linear features such as legacy roads and seismic for caribou habitat restoration.
- University Degree or technical diploma in Forestry.
- Professional registration or eligibility in one of Alberta's Professional Regulatory Organizations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and demonstrate a safety and customer service focus.
