Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations Management: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring that financial data is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Full Cycle Accounting: Oversee the full cycle accounting process, including month-end and year-end processes, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and working papers.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure that financial reports are prepared and submitted on time, and that financial data is accurately analyzed and presented to management.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management on financial matters.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the company is in compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure that team members are able to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements

  • Education: Secondary Accounting Diploma or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and full cycle accounting, proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Assets: Experience with Government Grant Funding reporting, experience with using a payroll service.
