BMO Financial Group is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team on a 12-month contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating project solutions through the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of applications to ensure alignment with business strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing code according to accepted standards to meet business requirements
  • Aligning with Team Lead for deliverables and delivering consistently as promised and meeting deadlines
  • Engaging appropriate stakeholders early on when clarification/requirements needed
  • Responsible for planning, estimating, development, testing, and implementation of initiatives of any size and any level of complexity to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the application
  • Participating in application improvement opportunities to improve the reliability and extensibility of the application and to improve the overall Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Liaising with third-party vendors, when appropriate, to ensure that the integration of third-party products and existing applications and systems is practical and feasible given the underlying technologies
  • Participating in software development Process Action Teams and contributing to the continuous improvement of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for the overall effectiveness of the development

Qualifications:

  • .NET: 5 years (Required)
  • AngularJS or Angular 2+: 5 years (Required)
  • Oracle & SQL Server: 5 years (Required)
  • RESTful API: 5 years (Required)
  • Banking/Financial Industry: 5 years (Required)
