Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist

VEP Mechanical Ltd is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation and fabrication team, you will be responsible for measuring and marking sheet metal according to templates, operating metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal, and grinding and buffing seams, joints and rough surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
  • Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
  • Operate plasma cutters
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
  • Fit and join sheet metal parts
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
