Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards of practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Completion of All Specially Trained Nursing Skills (STN) related to the unit of employment within six (6) months of employment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
