Research Manager Assistant

The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Mixed Methods Research Manager to join our Canadian Hub for Applied and Social Research (CHASR) team.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to support the delivery of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research support services across CHASR. As an Assistant Mixed Methods Research Manager, you will work closely with the Mixed Methods Research Manager and Specialist to assist in managing and coordinating research projects, including tasks such as creating timelines, monitoring progress, and ensuring project completion within set timelines and budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the delivery of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research support services, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist in managing and coordinating research projects, including creating timelines, monitoring progress, and ensuring project completion within set timelines and budget.
- Ensure project tracking in CHASR databases are completed and kept up-to-date for reporting purposes.
- Provide administrative assistance to Research Managers in overseeing the day-to-day operations and administration of projects.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with faculty, staff, and students, including the other CHASR managers, Research Facilitators, ICT, University Library, Human Resources, and Financial Services.
- Interact with internal and external clients of CHASR in a professional and courteous manner.
- A Bachelor's degree in social or applied sciences or related discipline (or equivalent degrees and experience).
- Three years of related experience in managing and conducting both quantitative and qualitative research projects.
- Experience or evidence of capacity to facilitate and manage projects and of fostering effective, cooperative, and collegial working relationships with a broad range of constituents in a complex environment.
- Expertise in commonly used methods such as descriptive analysis, exploratory data analysis, inferential analysis, and qualitative data coding and thematic analysis.
- Competence in other qualitative analyses and mixed analyses would be considered an asset.
- Experience working in a research academic environment and experience with collecting quantitative/qualitative data, quantitative/qualitative data analysis, and academic writing.
- Experience or demonstrated capacity to apply the following: NVivo (any version), SPSS, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with other statistical analysis software such as R, STATA, or UCINET would be considered an asset.
