Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Academics, the Executive Dean of Community Health Programs will deliver visionary, strategic, and administrative leadership across multiple campuses. This role emphasizes a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, which is reflected in every aspect of leadership, decision-making, and engagement. The Dean will lead their team in managing the School's financial resources effectively. Building and maintaining strong partnerships with external stakeholders and organizations is essential, alongside supporting the institution's advancement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and confidence in managing productive government relations. Furthermore, the Dean will ensure that all educational offerings are aligned with the current and anticipated needs of the labor market within the community. The Dean will also guarantee that all programs adhere to both internal academic standards and external accreditation requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- A graduate degree in a relevant field combined with a minimum of 7 years of recent, significant leadership experience in education.
- Proven track record as an innovative leader at a senior level.
- Strong commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, anti-racism, social justice, and fostering inclusive environments.
- A passion for teaching supported by practical experience.
- Experience in human resource management, including supervisory roles in an academic and unionized setting.
- Proficient in change management, conflict resolution, and negotiation techniques.

- Experience in organizational planning, project management, and financial oversight at an institutional level.
- Experience in executing strategic plans with clear performance management objectives.
