Position Overview

Kushions Inc is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent role that requires a commitment to providing exceptional care and support to children and adolescents in a group home setting.

Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 33 to 44 hours per week
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset
Site Environment

The role is primarily situated in a child welfare environment, focusing on the well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct administrative and office tasks
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Assist with meal preparation
  • Manage and resolve conflict situations
  • Oversee the activities of clients residing in group homes and transitional housing
  • Ensure the safety of children during visits with parents
  • Implement behavior management strategies
  • Accompany clients to various appointments and social events
Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a small team of 3-4 individuals.

Target Audience

Your primary focus will be on supporting adolescents and children.
