Facilities Technician Job Overview

Are you an experienced Facilities Technician eager to take on a new challenge? Baycrest is on the lookout for a committed professional to enhance our team. In this role, you will be tasked with the upkeep and troubleshooting of various facility systems to guarantee their peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and maintain essential building systems including HVAC, pumps, and electrical setups
  • Conduct inspections and ensure the mechanical areas are clean and safe
  • Promptly address service requests from various departments
  • Oversee and manage building systems to ensure comfort for all occupants
  • Document and assess critical system performance metrics
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Regularly inspect building systems and communicate findings
  • Manage low-pressure boiler controls and safety mechanisms
  • Follow established protocols, procedures, and safety standards
Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Facilities Technician apprenticeship or equivalent certifications
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position
  • Familiarity with building control systems and hand tools
  • Excellent time management and communication abilities
  • Capability to efficiently prioritize tasks
